Lessons

I have taught guitar, bass and other music lessons for over 30 years. I am a faculty member at several colleges and universities and I maintain a studio of private students as well.

Over the years I have developed a way of catering to the student’s particular needs. I have taught individuals who wanted to pursue a career in music and was successful in helping them gain admission to the college or university of their choice. There were others who simply wanted to learn how to play for their own enjoyment, many of whom continue to play years after studying with me. And some who wanted to work on a particular technique like finger picking or improvisation or just to learn a song or two.

Because I play a wide range of music I am very comfortable teaching various styles. Jazz and classical music are the two idioms that I teach most. Pop and rock music as well as finger style guitar are genres that I have an abundance of experience teaching.
